I have several of these that I've purchased at different times. They are simple/easy to setup and with the config app can be configured to motion sensing just for a "select" area of the picture. Works well for me needs as a simple security camera. Night vision is so-so. Your mileage will vary depending upon lighting. Straight up night vision is, at best, weak. I have notice that the post on the back of the camera which mounts to the based is sometime metal and sometimes plastic. The plastic ones are bad...send them back. They don't mount or adjust well. The metal ones work well. The ability to remotely view with the My Dlink app or website is nice and convenient to see it packages have been dropped off. These are not make for outdoors however I use three of them outdoors under some cover and they have held up find for several years. I live in the mid-west with lots or rain, snow, and ice. I got this camera to monitor my house when I'm not at home. The setup was easy even without using the WPS feature. If you want to image quality is clear and the night vision is great and doesn't disturb you when sleeping, it's just 4 red LEDs. The camera itself looks sturdy and will hold it position fine, just make sure you secure the cords where you don't disturb/trip over them and the move the camera. The one thing that annoys me about the camera is some features are on the webpage are not on the app, and vice versa. For example, the webpage has a control button to switch the night view on and off, a feature for some reason not on the mydlink Lite App. The myDlink app has an option to switch between 240p and 480p resolution but nothing in the website (though I would hope the webpage is showing a 480p). These cameras are great. Easy to set up and easy to use. I love how it sends alerts straight to your phone. The only trouble I had was when it went into the night vision mode it would reflect off the glass from inside and you couldn't see anything. I had to mount them outside because of this. Overall great cameras for the price.

I purchased this camera for the purpose of recording activity at my front door. I use it in conjunction with a kwikset z-wave deadbolt and micasa verde lite 3. Great camera. I thoroughly enjoy the functionality as well as the build quality. The only thing that bothers me is the zoom level. The camera defaults to a very close zoom level and it doesnt appear to be customizable. The quality in pixels is by far better than any other webcam i have used.
The camera is a good value. The ability to record video via the micro sd card was an important factor in my decision to purchase this camera. The video quality is not as good as other Dlink cameras that I have purchased but it is suitable for the purposes that I have.
