I bought this to degitalize my old mini dv tapes. For this application it did what I intended to W/O any trouble and I am happy about it. I haven't tried any other features so I can't comment.

This camcorder works fine. Unfortunately, the reason I bought it was to use it as a playback for a bunch of mini-dv tapes we have. I want to capture the videos as digital files on my PC. Problem is, there is no longer any USB driver available that makes it possible. I've tried every path I've been able to imagine. Even Panasonic was no help. They said turn to Microsoft, but they also said nothing possible. So, the machine is no use to me for the purpose I bought it for. I am trying to get it to work on an old Mac, but I can't seem to get I-Movie for this old Mac. Everything is just too old. I might be returning it.
