Very stable, light weight. The twist locks on the legs have a learning curve for me. It can be easy to over tighten them making loosening them back up more difficult. It is very stable even fully extended. Build quality and material is great. I wish it were about 4 inches shorter when all the way down but that's just my preference! I would buy again.

I've just used this a few times since purchasing but it seems to serves my needs well - a very sturdy tripod for telephoto and panorama work. I've put a Manfrotto leveling base and pan/tilt head on it and it feels very solid. I look forward to handling something non-metallic in the cold weather. The twist locks on the legs are easy to operate.
Lightweight, carbon fiber, state if the art. Nothing beats a Gitzo.

This tripod is great when hiking in the back country, very light and fast to set up. Great for hiking. The center piece has a hook on it if you want to hang your camera bag from it to make it more stable.I have several other Gitzo tripods and this one is the best when taking pictures in wilderness areas. Love the carbon fiber tripods well worth the money.
