For the $$ its a great rower.. Seat is nice and padded..Super easy to assemble. Feels strudy enough. Nice belt/fan mechanism. Only down side it is not adjustable in resistance, and pull out pins for fold up sometimes give issues because they dont align too well, just have to wiggle a bit the machine. But overall a great product. Not super noise like some stated. Very happy with my purchase.

I've had my new rower for nearly 2 weeks now and have used it 9 times building up to 20 minute sessions. There is really nothing to dislike about this rower in my opinion. I've read reviews where people complain about the seat not being padded enough but if I use proper technique my behind does not hurt at all. I really like the feel of the fan resistance and am glad the customer support person who helped me steered me in that direction. If you use good technique it feels very much like rowing on the water. I also like the fact that resistance is created by rowing harder and not with magnets. It allows you to very the intensity of your workout without having to stop and adjust a setting. Last thing, I'm 6'4" with a 34" inseam and weigh 200lbs. and this machine is a great fit for me. It is long enough and feels very sturdy. I highly recommend this rower.Read full review

I wanted a rower that was air power versus a magnetic one. I thought the magnetic ones did not have smooth rewinding of the strap or chain. I dont get real hooked into distances and stats; just want to row, and speeding up increases the resistance. So it has the meter but I often just row and this is smooth, and the seat is larger than some and very comfortable. I can extend my legs fully. I am 5’6”. The incline of the seat is good; feels like natural rowing. I recommend not putting on rug, but rather a rubber mat. I used a thick yoga mat and it fit perfectly. There is a nice flow of air generated by the fan that cools you. I read a lot of reviews and the remaining concern would be will it hold up over time? Right now I am very satisfied and I love the convenience of a pretty thorough workout in 20 min right in my garage. It took 30 minutes to assemble. A second person is helpful holding bigger pieces together while the other puts screws and bolts on. Assembly was very straightforward. All parts included.Read full review

After A LOT of consideration and recommendation I chose the 1399 ATS Rower over other company and other Stamina models. I row at the gym regularly and wanted something for some extra exercise at home when the urge hit me. At first I considered the chain air driven models but ultimately decided on something simpler to put together and a bit cheaper. The 1399 is a great budget machine. It is incredibly easy to assemble, has a VERY smooth row, pivotal foot pedals and a nice digital monitor. The hand bar is positioned perfectly and there's plenty of room for seat extension. The seat and hand bar are comfortable for even long rows. Plus it's very sturdy. Of course this is not a commercial rower but it's an awesome alternative for home. It isn't bulky and folds up well enough to put in a corner or extra closet. I've read reviews where people call it noisy but it really isn't bad. I use it inside and out and I have a condo with neighbors on both sides. No complaints whatsoever. Overall, this is a great bang for the buck at $299 and even includes manufacturer warranties when purchased from the right seller. I'm a fan already (no pun intended) but the fan helps keep you cool too. Take the plunge. This is a great rower for a beginner or someone who rows regularly. Just make sure you use the right technique. (they even include tips on that!)Read full review
