These were my first Martin flurocarbon strings, and it took me a while to get used to them. I've had them on now for about two weeks, and have come to enjoy their sound and playability. They are a bit harder on my fingertips than my usual, favorite, brand (I wanted to try Martins), but are by no means hard to play. Their sound is clear and clean although the 'A' string lacks just a touch of body to my ear (Full disclosure: I'm really touchy about 'A' strings in general). Like other strings I've installed on my ukuleles they stretched when new and took about a week of daily playing before really managing to hold tune. Overall I like the strings, and for under $10 think they are a good bargain. I'll use them again in the future, and have already ordered a "back-up" set to have on hand. I have four ukuleles, and a set of Martin strings will likely be installed on one of them. Martin is known for quality, and these strings uphold that reputation. They're worth a try.Read full review
