I use my phone occasionally for photos but it's main function is not as a camera. I have just about used up my old SONY (same model) but I'm too cheap to get a new camera. That doesn't mean I haven't tried. I've picked up some of those Black Friday "doorbusters with allegedly superior features but inferior results. When I saw this listed for less than $20 I couldn't resist. I use it for my ebay close ups (great macro) and in existing light (great ISO setting) with better results than anyone should expect. Much of that is likely due to its sensor size and Carl Zeiss lens. It only has a 3X optical zoom and is limited to 7.2 megapixels BUT megapixels but I'm not enlarging to poster size anyway. I may just get another one for my other pocket.

PACKAGE RECEIVED WITH HORRIBLE SWEET PERFUMEY SMELL. HAD TO LEAVE ALL OUTSIDE TO GET RID OF SMELL. THERE WERE NO CABLES NEEDED TO CONNECT TO COMPUTER. THESE ARE STANDARD WITH CAMERA. I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA PRIMARILY FOR THE CABLE.

I love the cybershot. This is the third one I own and it does everything I want it to. If you are looking for an easy to use, on the go camera, then look no further. It is perfect for having with you wherever you go because it is sleek and small and has all of the latest features.
This is a great camera. The lcd display shows a very acurate example of what your photo will really look like when printed. This is very important in my line of work. 7.2 mgpxl seems outdated by todays standards but i assure you it will be plenty for everyday use. I just bought the dscw70 on ebay because I broke my old one and I couldn't find a new camera I liked better. I even bought a 12.1 mgpxl samsung and it took no where near the quality photo that the sony does.
This is my 2nd Sony Cyber-Shot camera, the first being a 3.2 MP model that I have had for about 8 years or so (it still works great, and I am hesitant whether to give it to my grandson or keep it for a back up.) I have always had such good results with the Sony, that I decided that when I wanted to upgrade that I hoped I could afford another Sony Cyber-Shot. I have been having trouble getting good pics on small items in close ups, so I hoped that I could upgrade...not the best they have, but at least a little higher MP number hoping that it would be better for that purpose. I am not disappointed! I love the Sony Cyber-shot, and if possible I will always use a Sony...the quality is definitely the best, and though I bought this W70 7.2 as a used item, I am very pleased with it! The only problem I have is that I have no manual (yet) and so I have a few problems with use..but the photos are perfectly awesome on the computer! Every Sony product I have ever owned has been great, and I consider it the Rolls Royce of electronics..top of the line. I also believe that you get what you pay for, so I knew that if I couldn't afford a new camera, I could not go wrong with a Sony..even a used one..and I love it!Read full review
