It is a great smartphone. Who has used HTC HD2 will find no problem with this Smartphone except the new Windows Phone 7 OS. Windows Phone 7 is a one step far far away with Windows Mobile 6.5 , great performance, cool features, but still missing some features like : Multi-task, Copy n Paste...(will be updated in the Update of Windows Phone 7 on January 2011 that Microsoft said before) And Microsoft need to fill up their Marketplace with tons of Apps if they want to beat up Apple's iOS. HTC HD7 is really beautiful phone, i find something is alike the Leo (HD2) when holding it my hand. Big screen, for sure, good quality of picture on the screen, but one step back with AMOLED Technology Screen which could be found on Samsung Focus, but that is not a big deal with me. The Battery is some kind of weak in my opinion. Fully Charged on the morning and still need to recharge in the late afternoon if i turn everything on this phone on and use it like normal : Web Surfing, Listen to music, writing note, send/receive e-mail with both 3G and Wi-fi. The 5.0MP Camera HD-record ready make me disappoint a little bit. The color is not really "true" and "fresh" and the FPS of the 720p video record on the phone is kind of low. The battery Cover is made by Hard Plastic, feel nothing like plastic but i think you should be nice with it. Plastic is still plastic, breakable. The power buuton is a nightmare. I find it so hard to turn my phone on through the button at the right top of the phone. The Zune Software now is used as a software to sync data on your phone with the Computer. It is great, you can buy apps on the Zune OS and install it on your device through your PC. It is great phone to use, and for me, it is better than the iPhone 4.Read full review
I would give this phone an excellent rating, but only with a new ROM. To star off with, this is one of the most resilient phones I have ever owned. I have dropped it several times even on concrete, and it still works great. The screen is quite bright, the touch screen is very responsive. The phone features are well rounded and it gets good reception. Here is some of the issues though. The first thing you should do after getting this phone is look around for the leaked Sprint ROM 3.03.651.4. The ROM that comes on the phone has some issues. If you have no tech background you may have some issues, but if you got to ppcgeeks.com there are step by step instructions on how to flash the ROM. The second thing you should do is to get an extended battery. The battery will last 3 to 4 hours max, and If you are spending the money to buy a powerhouse phone you want to be able to use it. With the upgraded ROM you will get GPS, Sprint Navigation, EVDO internet speeds, and Windows Mobile 6.1 with threaded text messaging. After that the only other annoyance is the sluggish dialing on the phone pad. The two ways to fix that are to disable key tones, or install a keypad vibrator hack (also available at ppcgeeks.com). The other thing I really don't like is the placement of the camera button. If you are like me you will find that you are always pressing it on accident, and frustrated when thew camera comes on. I could go on forever, but here is the short of it... Pros: Rugged Versatile Great indoor/outdoor screen When you upgrade the ROM you get GPS, EVDO, Sprint Nav and threaded SMS Good Bluetooth connectivity Cons: Comes with a junk ROM Battery life Camera button placement Over all I would recommend this phone to anyone who is comfortable doing a ROM update and wants an extremely versatile and well built phone. If you are not comfortable doing ROM work, you should probably shy away from most Windows Mobile devises as I have found them all to be lacking when first released. Current Phones: PPC 6600 custom ROM, PPC 6700 Custom ROM, PPC 6800 Custom ROM, HTC Touch Custom ROM, and 1900 WM6Read full review
This phone is great. It's one of the least expensive Android phones on the market, yet it has basically everything you need; 3G, WiFi, a 3.2Mp camera, Fm Radio, Media Player...and the amazing HTC Sense Technology is so cool! The phone's compactness makes it easy to carry around - and it fits on the palm of your hands. It's got a 2.8-inch resistive touch screen (a disadvantage bacause you wont have the best touch experience - capacitive screens are much better). The slightly smaller screen size means some apps may not work well, but so far I've found enough apps that work for me (on androidMarket). So far, I'm loving this phone!
great phone i was dreaming to buy a "HTC HD 7" at last i brought and got an issue with connecting to the wifi. i guess that with the operating system and i ask support with the windows mobile team and they ask me to re-set the phone and try once., i able to connect public wifi but not every one. but still i can not connect to the home wifi which i can connect my PC and apple iphone ( my friend's ) *** wifi issue is not with the sellers problem its totally with the operating system i guess a bug. because phone search the wifi routers. only thing is getting and error message as " could not connect to the wifi ( wifi name. ) router name. *** basically good smooth mobile with large display and enjoying with 5 mega-pixel camera taking super quality pictures. and currently using my data plan internet to browse and download apps. but i can not download lot of games through data connecting asking to connect to the wifi network or to connect PC using data connection. :( all around i love and thanks for the person who send me the phone can keep trust with him. sends me what i needed got sim card (T-mobile.) and every thing was as described. planing to buy more goods from him. to do MORE business. :) - Hashen. The product runs an older version Google Android (version 1.6 in my case) and cannot easily be upgraded by non-techs. The phone is basically a brick until you put in a SIM card with a mobile data plan. Then you can sign-in to your Google account. After that the phone suddenly comes to life. WIFI can be setup, a voice-only SIM card inserted, and voila, you have an amazingly functional phone with access to most Android Apps. Stock Android version 1.6 is really good. But if you want the cutting edge, you'll have to "root" your phone, and load the new OS - not something for the faint-hearted. Still, expect to charge your phone everyday - more often than that if you use the full capabilities of the phone or make some calls. Can charge via USB while connected to your computer.
