This lens complements my 28mm Summicron. It's easier to focus than a 90mm for me on my M7. It is bitingly sharp, has stupendous bokeh and just slightly saturated colors - the way I like them. Though not technically a macro lens, it focuses to 0.7m for close-ups. I had wanted a 50mm Summilux, but prices are simply ridiculous and I found this lens, which is built with a similar design, for over $1,000 less. I also prefer the longer focal length. I can live with the slightly slower f/2.0 aperture since I tend to use my digital SLR above ISO 400 anyway. These 2 lens made me a believer in the whole Leica mystique. Anyone want to buy a Mamiya 6?
The 75mm F2 is all things Leica, well built, crisp images from a focal length that gives al bit more ability to capture candid portraits and more. Love this lens !
