A friend recommended this to me, and I have to say it was the best rec I have received in a while. What a great "bang for your buck" personal safety product. The product is a must for anyone looking for a little added nonlethal security. I originally picked one up to protect my dog should it be attacked after he was viciously savaged by a violent dog that escaped a fence and ran towards us. With this device I would be able to quickly end a situation like that. It's a great product, easy to carry and holds a good charge for months. Just be sure to check it every few months to make sure it's fully charged and ready,The product is a must for anyone looking for a little added nonlethal security. Stunning Safety Tool
This is the 2nd Vipertek VTS-989 I have purchased, as I had an old model that lasted me 6 years. I live in a neighborhood that isn't so great at night, so I carry this and pepper spray just to feel a little safer. This model is easy to get my hands on, it's powerful, the grip is great and feels comfortable in your hand. It's easy for a man or woman to use.

Solid for the price… I did not buy this one the first time a few months ago because I did not want to fry my fingers being that the contacts run down the side(not a grip problem though) , and was sorry because the one that does not have the metal contacts on the sides is flimsy and does not arc half the time when i test it.
