It doesn't get any better than this! I grew up watching " Combat" and to own and once again watch the most realistic TV show about the brave American soldiers of WWII inspires my patriotism during every episode. A lump in my throat and eyes welling up with tears has been my emotional response at the end of every episode. I am so grateful for every past, present and future America hero that was and is willing to and lay down their lives for our freedom. Thank you! May God continue to grant mercy and bless America!

The video and sound qualities are good. Disappointed in the physical condition of the discs and DVD cases. Most of the discs have minor surface scratches and Season Five DVD case is missing parts that secure the disc trays. Season Four, the trays are not assembled properly. This is a Brand New, Sealed and well packaged product, therefore it is not a Seller problem but a Manufacturer Quality Control issue! I purchased a used Season Five to replace the case missing parts. The discs in the used product had similar scratches. Definitely a Manufacturer Quality Control issue!

The Combat! series was a great show, running for a few years in the mid-'60's. The list of guest stars is surprisingly incredible, with some going on to far more iconic roles in other TV shows and movies as well. You can't find it on Netflix. In fact, it is very difficult to search because the exclamation point is actually part of the title and most search engines are limited and ill-thought-out. Getting the complete series on disc is great, therefore, and the trivia and comment features are interesting.

As a kid in the 60's I loved Combat!, My family watched it every week. I always wanted to be Sgt Saunders when playing Army,I even had a Matel Tommy Burst machine gun toy. I saw an ad on Facebook for Combat! On Amazon. I checked it out and they wanted $150! So I checked eBay and it was $53! I ordered it immediately and had it in just a few days. The box set has 5 albums in a nice box. There are 44 dvd's in all. The show was filmed in black and white and the clarity and sharpness is very good for such an old show. I was surprised at how many big name actors were on the show,Joe Campanella and Lee Marvin were in the first two seasons among others. I am still watching my way through the series,it takes quite some time to go through 5 years of episodes. If your a fan of 60's shows Combat may be one you might enjoy,I sure do and the price can't be beat!Read full review
