While limited in some features, like 5 pin DMX, but if you are needing to control up to 12 3 pin DMX fixtures, and need to do it on a slim budget, and really don't want to add that much more duty to your laptop, this is a great intro to DMX. Programming is the same as with the Chauvet Obey 40 with most of the same features, each of the scans (fixture) buttons, and there are 12 of them, use 16 channels, so even if your fixture only uses 4 or 5 channels, the controller is going to occupy 16 channels of the total of 192, so you can control a maximum of 12 fixtures. So this is more or less the same as every other 16 channel DMX 192 controller out there. The housing is metal, with nice rounded edges, and sliders work exactly as they ought. A bit cheap feeling, but certainly workable and durable enough if not subjected to excessive abuse. Long story short, it's a great bargain board with all the features you need to run a good lighting show.Read full review

Does exactly what I needed it to do for a very affordable price. I'd never used a DMX controller before, but even with a pretty sparse user manual I was up and programming in short order.
