The characters were excellent, the movie is very true to the period in time. Costumes, hair styles, culture, customs, etc, excellent for the times in history. The plot and use of historical happenings exceeded my expectations. Very much looking forward to next season. I highly recommend this movie to everyone over the age of 18.

First disc wouldn't play in the dvd player, but would play on the computer, second disc played on a different dvd player I tried. Third disc would not play on either dvd player and only half of the first episode would play on the computer. Second episode would not play. Very frustrating, that i have to repurchase the season. Unsure why the playing quality is a problem, every thing looked legit except for a sicker seal didn't exist.

Having read the novels I have found the series very much in sync with the actual books and their story. The characters are real and likable...if not down right lovable. Great story and as usual cannot wait for the new season!!

I've been enjoying this excellent series ever since I discovered it via our local library, which carried the 1st season. I was so enthralled I decided to buy the entire Season 1 thru 3 via Ebay and have not been disappointed. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who appreciates great acting, an outstanding story, 1st rate scenery and music, it is one of the best I've ever watched hands down. FYI
