I use this with a dell inspiron 15.6 laptop and it's literally a perfect fit. I wanted to see how well this product actually worked so I downloaded a temperature program (real temp) and used my laptop for homework + Google and it temped out at about 47°C. I turned the fans on and it dropped to 37°C. I am plugging the cooling pad's usb into a cell phone charger and running the fans on external power, not the laptops power. This I think is key because it reduces the load on my computer between 5-15%. Also another key factor is the flip up bar thingy on this model that changes the computers angle. It allows the fans to have airflow, which is very important for the fans ability to function. Highly recommended for the money

I initially bought this because of a review elsewhere, that claimed they repeated tests in different conditions and it supposedly reduced temps by 30c. The laptop I had that was reaching 100c is dead now, so I can't verify it bringing down really high temps. I can say that I've got a netbook here that runs around 40c at max load, the room was around 17c, and under those conditions the cooler doesn't bring it down a single degree. The other review here mentions plugging it into a phone charger. This is impossible unless you're sitting right by your outlets or have a USB male to female extension cable, as the USB cable is built-in to the cooler, cannot be removed, and is just long enough to reach a port on a laptop - resting on it. The plastic feels cheap, possibly hollow. The switches seem like they were just used because it was cheaper to make with 2 switches with 2 positions instead of 1 switch with 3/4 positions. The additional USB ports are capable of powering low-power usb devices like a keyboard/mouse or wireless keyboard/mouse dongle. They can't power an external hard drive.Read full review

I bought this because it was listed the best on a list of best cooling pads. I priced it on amazon and rather than get prime I often shop here instead. This was comparable in price and included shipping. it works well and quietly. It has buttons on the back that let you choose to use all the fans or just some and it gives you extra usb ports.

I read many reviews before buying a cooling pad for my gaming laptop. If found an independent review saying that this one had the biggest impact on CPU and GPU temperature out of all that were tested. I can confirm that my CPU and GPU were running between 80 and 90 degC (HOT!) prior while playing PUBG and with this pad they run at between 70 and 80 degC. Huge improvement. My 17" ASUS is wider than this pad but it sits on the pad nicely and I would make this same purchase again, no question.

Got one of these and it did not have the mesh all the way attached to the base that contains the fans. chintzy plastic bar holder on bottom is not sturdy at all and if you grab it the wrong way will break. Cooling power is mediocre at best. If you are looking for a great name brand computer cooler look somewhere else, this is part of a large group of chinese clone products with a Kootek sticker stuck on it instead of a chinese sticker like others.
