Lenovo offers two more powerful replacement batteries for the T420 - but at five times the cost of the 55+ battery I bought here. I mainly use my laptop on a dock and the original 55+ battery that came with the computer wore out from not cycling regularly. This battery was perfect to replace it - arrived quickly, well packaged and slid straight into the machine. The bigger batteries Lenovo sell, I understand would have stuck out the back..

The battery works fine, and holds a charge. After 1 year of use, it is at 73% capacity (35 Wh / 47.5 Wh). However, this is not an original/genuine Lenovo battery as claimed, it's a cheap knockoff, and the photos do not exactly match what I received. I tried to return this item, but the return costs were more expensive than it was worth it. I only got the chance now to review the battery. The image below has my original battery at the bottom (which looks exactly like the one in the picture for the product), and at the top is the battery I received. Notice that the fonts and colors are all different, and various parts of the label have slightly different text than the original. Overall, the battery has a decent price, but don't be fooled into thinking this is a real genuine Lenovo battery.

Battery loses about 1% per day in 1 week of storage. I am very happy with this rate! I will use this store again as I have a stable if laptops I use to read books. They are all 10+ year old Lenovo's. Thanks, JJWMD
