This is a great laptop. The track pad is a bit more "sensitive" than I would like, even after the track pad driver update. Its nothing I can't deal with. I picked up a refurbished and pre-owned model on e-bay with no dead pixels, scratches, or dings on the case for $375, and for that price I think this laptop is a great steal. The front edges of the aluminum frame are a sharp 90 degrees and can agitate the side of your hand from resting it on the edge of the laptop while using the track pad for an extended amount of time. I bought this for my girl, and she uses it to do "Internet stuff". Laptop screen resolution has become the first spec that I consider because hardware has become so similar these days. I like how the screen resolution is 1600x900 and not the stupid 1280x768 that almost every single low priced laptop comes with. Though 1920x1080 would be better, that would also cost more and while looking at the screen, the quality is still very good. The 14.1 inch screen size is perfect. Its not small like an 11" or 13" and its not too large like a 15" or 17" might be. Even though I do personally like 15+ inches, she doesn't want a huge laptop. I like the SSD drive that is in there, I'm happy its 128GB and not smaller. I almost bought a Google Chrome Book for her, but I was worried about her not being able to figure out the formatting differences between Google Docs and Microsoft Office, even though for me, I use Google Docs all the time and am happy with its formatting. This laptop is very light weight, and the case appears of higher quality than a plastic case. Its not high quality like the Mac Book Pro aluminum case though, but I paid a third of the price. I like the magnetic lid lock, and the power supply barrel plug is not as terrible as most other laptop's power plug. My favorite power connection is the magnetic type that Apple uses. This one has a barrel plug, but its short, and has a 90 degree plug head, and with the aluminum case, I don't worry that the motherboard's power input port will wiggle loose over time. Over all, there are a few short comings on this laptop (track pad, sharp front edges), but they are not a deal breaker, and this laptop has many features that other laptops in its price range do not include. I may bump the included 4GB of ram up to 8GB, but I feel that the 1.8GHz Intel i3 3rd generation processor is "good enough", especially for what she is using it for. The most taxing task she may put on the CPU is probably streaming videos. She doesn't play games, and she will never run any intensive programs. I'm very happy with my purchase. And since she doesn't know that much about the differences in laptop technology, she feels like I bought her a very high quality laptop. She doesn't know what I paid for it. :PRead full review

If you're in the market for a laptop/netbook/ultrabook because you need a machine that quickly loads webpages, boots nearly immediately, and fits into any slim space available -- this is the one for you. There are reviews about the keyboard and the touchpad that mention how difficult they can be to use but after updates on the drivers and a little acclimation, I've found both quite functional. Those two things are the only "negatives" I can think of. Cons: - touchpad is touchy - keyboard takes a little getting used to (Major)Pros: - The screen is perfection. 13.3" notebooks feel constrained, while 15" notebooks seem to be too big to carry around, leaving this 14" ultrabook to hit the sweet spot. It also helps that it has a 1600x900 resolution with awesome viewing angles. Very bright, very beautiful. - Beauty also shows itself in the construction of the chassis. The unibody design puts it in the MacbookPro category for quality, but has a rubber coat on the underside that is a genius and quite comfortable touch. - The heat fan exhaust is another touch that may go unnoticed, but is actually kind of awesome. Above the speakers in the bezel area, the heat exhaust is discrete and blows air across a wide area upward; practically imperceptible by the user. My old netbook fan blew periodically, loudly, and out of the left side onto my leg or my hand -- this ultrabook eliminates that discomfort completely - It's fast, very fast. I have an i7 desktop with a SSD and this ultrabook, with it's i3 and 1/4 of the RAM does an amazing job keeping up. Web-pages render quickly and applications open without delay. If you're on the fence about this ultrabook and any other under $700 - get this one.Read full review
Meet most my expectations. Some keys sticks and some dents, main jack is a little loose.
