After searching through some 400 product reviews, I purchased this notebook for my computer savvy grand daughter's 8th grade graduation. And she just loves it. Of all the product reviews, the only prevailing single complaint seemed to be that the device comes with Windows 8. WOW! Join the real world folks. In another few years we will be looking at Windoes 9 and the 'Nay Sayers' will be yearning for Windows 8. This device is simply loaded with features. And as part of your research, I suggest you make a trip to your local Staples or other outlet and give one of these puppys a test drive. I think you will soon discover this notebook is a tough one to beat for the money.
This laptop is a great buy for the price. I am an over 60 customer and have had little trouble with navigating in the new formats. I got a little coaching from my daughter and that helped. I like the length of time that the battery holds a charge, and appreciate the easy to read screen icons. My daughter surprisingly prefers the classic home page, but being a senior citizen like the larger graphics that are on the newer start screen. Overall, I am very please with my purchase. The price was a steal. but this laptop seem to lose control when it comes too staying on one window it simply changes when the arrow is moved just a wee bit too the next window.the good thing is it's much easier to carry around then my old laptop which was too heavy much faster too get on line. overall it's a good computer to use once you master the easy window changing with the wee bit of the arrow moving that will cause the window to make a sudden change from one to another.
First of all I would like to say that I have owned several laptops over the years and every one of them have been Toshiba Satellite laptops. I won't buy any other brand/make and this one is no different than the others. It's a great laptop and I love it. So it's as simple as this, if it works no need to change. silver
