Very good alternative as a docking station that does not use up space and has better number of ports. I recommend for use with the T470 and was able to connect 2 external monitors using the standard VGA port and the Display Port.

It becomes a workhorse for me for normal usage and the motherboard testing. It would be exceptional if Lenovo engineers take their hands out and retrofit a cooling fan into it. SO it will be a docking station and cooling pad combo.
