I have always used the Panasonic projectors due to their great quality and very accurate flesh tones. Also these projectors have the shortest lag time for video games. That is with the exception of the AE1000u which ended up being a wash after the iris froze after eight years of use. Still I received some exceptional performance those eight years. I replaced the 1000u with a AE2000U and was very satisfied with it. But the contrast was something that I wanted to improve for my video games. I had become spoiled with my QLED VIZIO to which my X-Box ONE s was hooked up to. I loved the brighter whites and deeper blacks. When I purchased this projector and hooked it up to my PS4 I was amazed to see how much the quality of the picture improved as one might expect moving up from a 15,000/1 to a 60,000/1 contrast ratio. And this projector did not disappoint. The statistic is not just hype and was quite noticeable. Though of course a projected image can not ever compete with a backlit image, still I was very impressed with the outstanding performance of this projector. If you can get one $350-$400 used it is well worth the investment.Read full review
