Bought these in 2004 Sep. - Used it for a simple home theatre setup with DDTS-100 receiver Good: - Speakers are really good for the price - Although designed for the computer user, I find that it is a decent HT speaker set as well. Bad: - The sub fuse blew after 1.5 yrs and the system was unused for nearly 2 yr. I then bought a Yamaha receiver, new & better speaker wires, and I was able to connect the speakers to the receiver. I thought it sounded even better than when it was connected to the sub. Sold the DDTS-100 as it has no more use. Eventually, I got the sub repaired for a token sum, and connected the sub to the receiver's sub output. Perfect. Now, the system is working fine and I am enjoying all my movies and music with it through the Yamaha receiver. Hope it lasts!
This is a great sounding system. Low volume highs come through clearly and the bass pounds. If you're a gamer, this is one to buy, no one will ever sneak up on you again! As for music, all aspects of this speaker system can be adjusted individually allowing for the listener to focus on what he or she likes best. About the only down side, I feel, is the amount of wire one has to contend with and the price. However, once installed it's easy to use, a joy to have, and the cost is justified based on the quality of the product.
I really enjoy the sound these speakers produce for movies and games on my computer. I needed the best surround setup for my gaming and movies and believe that I have found it with the Creative S750. I run my speakers using the analog cables to my Creative X-Fi Fatality Pro and just love the sound I get with this setup. The only complaints I can think of are the digital control pod should have been a knob, it's just more intuitive to manage volume that way, but once you get used to using the remote it's not really a problem. I've had a set of Logitech Z5500, and these S750 s provide superior sound, mainly because the Gigaworks S750 has dual drivers in each of it's satellites, as well as having a tighter bass. I know these aren't the best speakers out there, but for me and my uses, they certainly are the best for me. The system is no longer available for sale unfortunately, as I would certainly consider purchasing another to have for a spare in case anything went wrong with it.Read full review
