i dont understand the negative reviews... probably because of win 8.1 sucks.. i installed win 10 and its an amazing fast tablet. i got over 5 hours of use out of it before it got to 30 percent on the battery level.. the speed in win 10 is fast as hell.. in win 8 slow and hung up a few times. windows finally got there stuff together.. only con is the ssd is soldered in. on the st1 its a plug in mini pci card...im able to install the same applications as my my laptop has. cant do that with android...webpages are in full desktop view.. with all the same functions.. nothing striped or watered down.. you can even choose tablet mode... i highly recommend buying it!! its good for professionals that work on computers and do buisness.. not good for games at all.. wasnt built for that.

Battery doesn't last long but it is within reasonable limit. I wish it would had a better window option but for the price, it's perfect. Overall it was a good purchase. Ohhhh...no I must change my review. ..I downloaded the updates that needed and now I can not turn it on. ..and the battery is not charging. ...very disappointed. ..

The only drawback of this device is that it can barely run games that are designed for mobile phones. Most of the computing power goes to running the Windows operating system. This isn't a bad thing for an advanced user like myself. It meets all of my needs and I know what settings to turn off in order to get it to run smoothly. Average users who don't know about such things would probably be underwhelmed with its performance. It is perfect for casual web browsing and homework. I am really enjoying getting more accustomed to the Windows touch screen platform with this device, and it was an easy choice to make at around $100.

Good Mine came with Windows 8.1 Pro and I immediately plugged in a 64GB SD and installed Classic Shell for a Windows 7 style. It is reasonably fast and is a normal Windows computer, not a modified OS like RT. If it runs on my laptop, it runs on this. I much prefer Windows to Android or Chrome. I don't think you can beat it for the price. Bad The BIOS is password locked, so you cannot flash without an unlock code from Dell. (This is common practice these days).
