I just got mine. I actually bought a second for my wife. I have not experienced and hope I don't what others have said about cracking the screen or fitment too tight. I have a surface 6 that I use it with. I read the instructions first and found that the clips are slightly adjustable so just make sure your fit is good and hopefully this helps avoid problems. It is heavier than the surface keyboard but for me this is not an issue. It seems very well built and solid. I like the backlight on the keyboard better than the surface keyboard and overall it is very simple to use. Instructions for it can be found on the web quite easily. I think about the only thing I don't like is I can't find a cover to fit the whole unit now. With the hinges it makes it so the cover I had does not work anymore but that is something I will have to deal with. It is also nice that if you forget to turn off the keyboard that it goes to sleep by itself after 20 minutes of non use and then turns on automatically when you open it. Overall I have to say I really like this keyboard. I honestly don't use mine much as a tablet so it won't hardly be taken out which means less chances of causing cracks in the screen but if you are careful I think the problems encountered should be minimal. I don't notice any screen bleed anywhere but again I did just get it, I am hoping for the best. Overall I would have to say that this is what I wanted. Yes I bought the surface but with the intentions that it has incredible battery life and is very portable. The one thing I didn't like about it was the limited ability to put the screen where I wanted it and this keyboard solves that problem with ease. I have to say if this continues to perform I feel I got exactly what I wanted. I can't review the battery life as like I said I just got it. Hope this helps you in making your decision. I was able to get both of mine on eBay as open box items and saved some money. I will very likely sell my surface keyboards now.Read full review

This item is very close to being top notch. It is very sturdy and the keyboard is large enough to mimic a regular desktop keyboard. Unfortunately there are some serious flaws. The worst is that keys stick. One must constantly retype keys to get them to react. This is very frustrating. Next is the weight. One pays a high price for a sturdy product. This product is very heavy and makes the keyboard/tablet combo a lot more cumbersome. Lastly because of the hinges that attach the tablet to the keyboard one cannot use a case. The combo becomes too wide and bulky in the hinge area. This leaves the tablet somewhat unprotected. Seems like the only solution is to get a second keyboard for portability and use the Brydge for non-travelling situations.

I love that I can use my surface pro as a stable laptop now. The only thing that I would say that I don't like is that the keyboard is slightly laggy due to it being bluetooth probably and sometimes won't sense me clicking things or specifically with scrolling it's lag isn't that bad though if you can tolerate it. Great product overall though and it will last me a long time.

Ever since I bought my Surface Pro 4, I have been disappointed whenever I tried to use it in laptop mode. It definitely is not designed to use on your lap. This Brydge keyboard addon is GREAT! I now have a functioning lap top whenever I need one. It is a little on the heavy side, but then it has to be in order to support the Surface Pro in whatever angle you chose to use it. So far, I have only had to charge the keyboard once, so I do not know how long the charge will hold, but I suspect with my usage it will be a long time. It is a quality keyboard that matches the look and feel of the Surface Pro tablet exactly. The keys have a good tactile feel to them. The Bluetooth connection is very stable and I have not had to re-link the keyboard since the initial setup. If you like to use your Surface Pro 4 as a laptop, do not hesitate to purchase one of these Brydge keyboards. You will not be disappointed. Read full review

Well constructed and solid. Keys are spread apart way more than the OEM keyboard and the backlit keys are great. Clam shell closure like a laptop, along with the stability of a laptop is a big plus over the OEM covers. Being able to detach the keyboard and move the tablet further away, due to the bluetooth functionality, is another great bonus. Nothing but a win with this product.
