As a long time ThinkPad owner, I bought a T440 when my T420 reached its end of life. Surprise! No optical drive, no latches for the cover, and two three-cell batteries. Liked the thinness and weight-loss, but the keyboard and glass touchpad take getting used to. Then the T440p showed up, and for another pound in weight, the cover seems more sturdy with its carbon-fiber reinforcement and real screen bezel (the T440 uses a sticker for the bezel). Back to a single six- or nine-cell replaceable battery and a dual layer DVD Multi Burner. Appears that the P50 or P70 are the next true ThinkPad-like Notebooks. I've tried a T440 Touchscreen, but keep coming back to my trusty T440p i7 16GB Nvidia HD+ Windows 10 beast. Games play very well on my big external monitor when docked. If you like the older IBM-style keyboard, get a top-of-the-line T420 or T520. Otherwise, the T440p provides all that ThinkPad name represents for now. And the backlit keyboard is genius. If you also want the ThinkLight, get the best T430 or T530 you can find.Read full review

I had used Thinkpad series for a long time, so I am very happy. Now with the new laptop Thinkpad T440p, as the history of this products, I also very nice and enjoying. The laptop work perfectly and strong as the basic structures of machine. feeling safety when using this laptop.
I'm looking for a laptop to replace my Lenovo Yogo 2 13, and this one is just the one. The qulity is good.
This is a speedy system, and handles tasks efficiently. I've even seen Lenovo t440p's, with the same specs, go for over a grand. This made my day because mine was bought for under a quarter of that, and it runs like Gump. It's even handled multiplayer online games such as COH2, on the wi-fi. If that's not good I don't know what is.
