Pros-Great image quality when set to 1080 HD and at the wide and normal field of view, the narrow field of view is usable but a little grainy due to the magnification being digital and not optical. I use the camera as a helmet cam and the stabilization is excellent, much better than the GoPro Hero4 Silver or Sena Prism tube cameras that I also have. I find it very easy to use and the wireless remote is another feature that I really like, you can tell at a glance if your recording or not and making camera setting changes with the remote is easy also so no need to remove the camera from your helmet or take your helmet off for that matter. Only con is when using an external microphone as there is no way to plug it in with the cam in the water proof case. Of course it is doable with out the case but then there is no protection for the lens, you can buy a lens protector but it is a bit pricey so I just drilled a hole in the water proof case and removed the back cover of the cam so I could plug in the mic. I don't plan on riding in the rain if I can help it and if I do I will remove the cam and going under water with my motorcycle is something I really try to avoid so the hole in the back of the case is not a problem for my set up and the sound is great with the mic located inside my helmet. In my opinion the Sony AS300 is a much better alternative to the GoPro's, highly recommended.Read full review
