Always wanted to give this a try, but my gaming rig wasn't up to par. I have upgraded now and the Steam Link does a great job of streaming to my TV. I've played some older titles (we're talking vintage 1990s type of PC games) as well as some of today's AAA titles and all have worked smoothly. I've used keyboard and mouse as well as a modern gaming controller (XBox One controller) and both work fine.

Unable to use this after hours of troubleshooting. It frequently locks up and has to have the power cord pulled to reboot. No other device has issues connecting other then this.

This thing is the bomb. It streams whatever you have on your desktop very well and isn't just great for games. It works like a super chromecast. The only catch is that I recommend that at least your PC has a wired Internet connection, if not both your pc and the steam link, also have at a few MB/S from you carrier.

A few quirks that still need to be worked out on this thing as far as exiting menus etc, then having to physically go to the host PC to close down, restart steam etc.. Sometimes have issues with lag over my home network. Since games often require such precise control and reaction times, it can be a bit frustrating to play with. When it is working well though, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue. I noticed that reducing resolution settings to 720p made the steam link go from unplayable to playable at least over my home network. Also, connecting my pc that is actually running games and steam on my home network directly to the router over ethernet helped improve the stream quality even though I was still using wifi from my living room tv for the SteamLink. EVen with it's shortcomings I'll still give the SteamLink a four star review, simple because it basically gets the job done for a really reasonable price point.Read full review

The product arrived as was designated; on time and quick. The set up was simple, and streaming is a breeze. I highly recommend using your modem or ethernet extender for optimal performance, but once you do so, your games should run smoothly. I was surprised by the size, which is small, but the design is sleek and very cool. I don't have a Steam controller, but you can use pretty much any controller, like a Switch Pro. However, you will need a wired controller of some sort to first-time setup the system.
