I bought this product to add to my existing Powerline adapter set. I had added a new TV to the house and it's kind of far away from the Wi-Fi so this was the way to hardwire the internet connection. I didn't realize that it was going to be incompatible with my old Powerline adapters. So I ended up replacing the old adapters with these. The bandwidth on the old adapters was 85 Mbps. These adapters are 500mbps. I had recently cut the cord and was using Roku for streaming services. I was constantly getting a buffering indication and Interruption of the video and audio. When I replaced the old Powerline adapters with this set, the buffering problem completely disappeared. Life is good. Now I need to order another set to do what I was originally trying to do.

This product is extremely easy to set up and I tried it with a Tablo and with a laptop. It did not help with the Tablo problem like I read about on a web page. Using my ISP's speed check page, the laptop went from 22/23 mbps download on a wireless connection to 24/25 using the extender. Maybe it will work better for you but it did not do much for me. That small increase does not justify leaving two devices plugged in 24/7. It would be a good value if it worked better.

Ps4 was getting sub-par numbers even though Xbox was getting 75mbps. They are right next to each other? So I ordered on of these sets. Plug them in the same room wait for lights. Then took one upstairs plugged in ethernet cable to middle slot and ps4. The one downstairs to the # 4 spot on my router. Set up internet on ps4 and bam getting 50 up 5 down on ps4 now! Was getting 2mbps up 268kbps down. No more lag and games download faster ! Great product has two more ethernet slots for other things. It has been a few weeks still going strong. Great product , easy set up. Super simple, I love it !

Update: Switched from Fios to Optimum. Plugged directly into the new router and had some issues. PowerLines wouldn't sync and no internet was detected. After trying different outlets, cables, restarting all computer and different brand powerlines (already had a few) still no joy. It was actually an easy fix. At first I thought the outlets didn't connect throughout my house as the new router was setup in my living room as opposed to the den. I took my laptop with Ethernet jack and plugged it directly into the new router. It worked perfect. Once I had a direct connection, the other (3) powerlines in my house worked. Not sure why this would solve the problem but it was the solution that worked. Original Review: Have Fios in my house but the WiFi is downstairs in the den and it's spotty in living room and bedrooms. PowerLines are a much better solution. Plugging direct into each unit via Ethernet cable gives me the same throughput as if I was plugged directly into the router. 30Mbps wired vs 12Mbps WifiRead full review

Was using the plain pair of the units for several years (without the pass through adapter) until a former roommate stole the one next to the cable modem. With the one unit I had...will be adding these two to that one to allow whole apartment connection.
