I bought this tablet because I am a fan of the Note series tablets. I have owned a couple of the Galaxy series tablets and I have used a stylus with them, but I never got the same feel I got from writing with the S-Pen on the Note 10.1 so when I got the chance, I had to get one and even though it was a "downgrade", I wasn't disappointed. I am an avid note-taker, so having access to the S-Pen and S-Note makes life so much easier. I can type using Swype, but not as fast as I can write. I just updated to Android 5.1.1, so I have the most current edition for my tablet. The only drawback is that there will be no further updates unless I root, which I don't want to do because now there's no benefit to it anymore. Other than that, if you want an economical tablet that allows for writing, typing, drawing, drafting, and a host of other professional tasks, I recommend this one.Read full review

Had an earlier version on the Samsung 10.1 Note, and it was an excellent unit. I wish I had checked comments before buying. The unit itself runs very well, and has good baterry life. My major complaint is that it charges at about 5-7% per hour, which means if I let it get below 30% it will not fully charge while I am sleeping. You have to turn the unit off for that. Will not charge while on. I do not understand why that aspect of the units was changed. This has nothing to do do with the ratings of the seller. They have worked with me.

Just thought I'd let you know. I received my tablet today, much earlier than promised, and the condition of the tablet is much better than expected. No scratches, dents, problems of any kind. My previous tablet had accidentally been damaged beyond repair. Thank you so much for everything you've done. The previous tablet was a SM-P600. This one is a SM-P605. I'm looking forward to connecting through my phone carrier. By the way, for the man who complained about charging time. Try using the right charger. These tablets require a minimum 2.5 amp USB charger, preferably a Samsung charger made for the tablet and a connecting cable not more than 6 feet in length. Thanks again so much Rob

I use this mainly as an e-reader, although it is a full function tablet. And the built in stylus makes it easy to get the cursor exactly where I want it, even when the text is pretty small. Combine all that with a vivid screen and a fairly good weight (just like Goldilocks, not too big and not too small) and you've got an excellent compromise that is perfect for carrying along on a trip or using at home.

Very good tablet! When I took it to Verizon to get a data plan, the tech. thought it was a new tablet even though it's a 2014.
