I did my technical homework and quickly determined it was better to install a used genuine Dell AC Adapter Charger on my Dell Precision M6400 than a new Generic Charger. Also, as one writer suggested, it's more than okay to to choose a Dell Charger with a higher wattage output than the one you're replacing. The used Dell Charger I found looks new and does a great job!

My Alienware laptop came with a power cord with a blue light near the connection to the laptop. Unfortunately, this one does not come with that blue light, but works perfectly fine. If, you are picky about the blue light, this one does not have it.
