After owning many cards, I bought this one and must say that I have yet find a game that I cannot run @1080p while maintaining a rock solid 60fps while playing on Ultra graphic settings. The card is very quiet and never rises above 58c, though to assure this low temperature you will need a case with decent ventilation. I was using a Corsair Spec 01 with a couple 140AF fans as intakes. I bought 2 of these cards and overclocked one of them to a stable 1100mhz on the core and 1333mhz on the memory while never going over 62c during intense load. You will also need at least a 750w PSU to run this card, it uses quit a bit of power.

The Sapphire HD 7950 was a clear upgrade from the GT series cards that came standard in the Mac Pro. I have 3 GB at my disposal of VRAM vice the 512 MB previously. That six-fold difference comes to life when under heavy load--Lightroom, Photoshop, multiple windows, videos, etc. All this for *literally* plug and play. Could not be happier. And because it's Metal capable, with a few modifications the 2009 Mac Pro can move up to 10.14.6 at least.

Great video card. It has a bios switch so I was able to flash it for Mac and still have a windows bios backup.
