Works exactly as my original battery! I’ve had my MacBook for years and after excessive use from school and work the battery got old and began to swell, Apple no longer fixes my year Mac (2013) so I did It myself and this battery was perfect. Very simple and easy to replace, came with the exact tools. 10/10. The mounting holes did not align exactly to the body of the macbook pro; one of the two mounting points must me misaligned. This is the only red flag I have with the authenticity since genuine parts shouldn't have inaccurate measurement specs. The battery fit into the macbook pro just fine, and the connector mated with the logic board just like my old battery. Charges just fine.

The new battery arrived about a week ago. Installation was super easy, and the MacBook Pro recognized the battery and provides health information and charging statistics. Time will tell: the original battery lasted 4 years, a replacement lasted 2. This one was 1/3 of the price of the replacement, so if it lasts a year or two, we'll e happy with it.

This battery was a perfect replacement for my wife's macbook pro battery. The build quality is superb. As far as I can tell this really is a genuine apple battery. The screwdrivers that came with it were very cheap. I didn't care about the phillips head screwdriver because I already have my own, but the special screwdriver for the battery screws was greatly appreciated, and it did the job perfectly. Shipping cost and time were also good.
