My new iMac came with a keyboard almost the same as the one I purchased. I needed to continue using my old iMac of about 10 years, but trading off typing on two very different styled keyboards was an effort. I was very pleased that someone had about the same as my new keyboard that was USB wired since that was only what would work on my old iMac. The spacing of the keys on both is a little too crowded for my hands, but I am practicing and getting better. I hope you have some way to thank the individual who had this keyboard for sale. It is making a difference in my work.

This keyboard is the BOMB!!! I saw the wireless version and wanted that one not knowing that the USB version had come and gone from "APPLE". So I paid a pretty penny for it when I was lucky enough to find one on "ebay". I felt lucky because Apple had stopped selling this model in 2012, very quietly like they do sometimes, and 2014 is almost over. The advantage of this keyboard besides the obvious (takes up less real estate, and compact where space is limited), NO BATTERIES, not needing a 10-key number-pad, but you still get two extra USB ports for USB devices such as mice and cameras, great for beginners and school kids. No bluetooth needed in your computer just a USB port. Being hardwired it is more secure too. AND LAST but not least it is an Apple and has that Apple quality and made for your MAC from the design board to finished product. Even though there are very good 3rd party keyboards too, like Logitech. But it is not the same - especially when you don't have a choice, like when you spill wine on it and need to get another KB quick and cheep. The only disadvantage I realized was the length of the cord, so get a USB extension cord. Problem solved. Did I mention NO BATTERIES, and, I am using it to input this review. Loving this keyboard! :)Read full review
I have an Apple Thunderbolt Display at home, but often switch between my work and personal laptops. I find it too much of a pain to keep turning on/off bluetooth to pair/unpair wireless keyboards, and find it MUCH easier to just use a wired keyboard into my display. This keyboard works perfectly, allows my to have my mouse in a more comfortable spot, switch quickly between computers, and also never worry about batteries. I really wish that Apple would reissue these

Was pleased to find this discontinued USB keyboard. Wanted to avoid newer bluetooth models, and batteries, so this fit the bill for me. Perfect match for the keyboard on my Macbook Pro laptop. Very compact, well built and stylish, taking up little space on my desk. Received promptly. Very satisfied.

This keyboard is, in my mind, the best Apple ever designed. It is unfortunately discontinued, and brand new ones are hard to come by. Fortunately, there are still many used keyboards in good or excellent condition listed on eBay. This is thanks in part to the durable aluminum construction of this item. This keyboard has the same form factor as the keyboard on the pre-touchbar MacBook Pro laptop, and Apple Wireless Keyboard (pre-Magic Keyboard model). However, this is a wired keyboard. The feel of a keystroke is slightly different from the laptop and wireless keyboard feel. The keystrokes are a little heavier, which makes this keyboard feel more solid. The keypress feel is a little bit more mushy than the laptop keyboard, which is a disadvantage, but not by much. The main advantage is that you get the small Apple form factor in a USB wired keyboard, so you never have to deal with Bluetooth pairing. It includes a short USB cable which is great for connecting to an iMac, a USB port on the back of a monitor, or a laptop. It will need an extension cable to connect to a desktop sitting on the floor. There are two USB 2.0 (SLOW) ports underneath the keyboard, which are adequate for connecting a wireless mouse dongle, but not great for a hard drive. They are also limited to the original USB spec of 400 mA current, and many devices will no longer work with them.Read full review
