Great tablet I like it. Appears to not have 2 g of ram, just 1.32g . That said it works fine. Interfaces well with sd card for extra storage. Fits my coat pocket nicely. I don't use the mobile feature just put it in plane mode and turn on the Wi-Fi. I don't like that when in sleep mode and in my pocket if the home button gets depressed it wakes up. Tried to disable wasn't able LOL. Love the 7 inch size. It's a keeper.

I like the Galaxy Tab4 7" screen as it is small enough to hold in one hand and swipe, that's what I use without needing a stand. It has a lot of functionality, the ability to multi screen and comes with the Hancom suite of apps. I really haven't used them yet and you never know when you might need a word processing or spreadsheet app or a PowerPoint equivalent, that said, I've read some people think it's bloat wear, you still need to install it so they give you that option. On the not so positive side with a dual core processor and 4 gig of memory although the specs say 1 gig, I would think it would be faster. It also lags and I experience network problems which I don't believe it's my network since I don't have this problem with my Galaxy III phone and that's a real bummer. I thought of returning it, but at the price of shipping, etc. I decided to keep it since I paid less than $100 oh well.Read full review

Oh wow.... WHAT a step forward! I adore my new Samsung tablet. I'm a huge reader, not a big fan of kindle, so I've been a Nook girl. My Nook shattered, and I was left hunting for a very inexpensive tablet that (hopefully) met or exceeded the e-book features of my now defunct Nook. I did tons of research, and my boyfriend (huge tech guy) said this tablet was the way to go. I've loved my Samsung smartphones in the past, so I was cautiously optimistic. I've had my new tablet about 2 weeks, and am officially blown away!!! First of all, this is the end all/be all solution for anyone who loves reading. I'm a Calibre junkie, and was constantly loading/sorting/tagging/organizing ebooks in Calibre on my PC. I read some blogs, and discovered the amazing option of using Calibre and dropbox on my PC, combined with Calibre Cloud Pro and FB Reader Pro (or Moon Reader +) on my new tablet. Basically,I have a beautifully WIRELESSLY syncing library that allows me to access any of the thousands of books on my PC through my new Samsung tablet! Add a gorgeous full color shelving display that allows me to see all of my book covers, sort by series/author/tags.... Ohmygosh. It's like toting around thousands of books everywhere I go, only without the tractor trailer. I'm thrilled. THRILLED! Simple directions for setting up your ebook cloud and syncing are all over the net for those wanting to give it a whirl. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned the extra bonus of gloriously sharp resolution that allows me to watch netflix hbo, roku.... it's wonderful! Basically, this tablet does pretty much whatever you want it to, and the value was truly outstanding. Ebay seller SellerCortex officially made a new fan, as I was able to afford 16 GB with a Sprint Cellular Capable addon for less money than I've seen the 8 GB version anywhere else. The only thing that has been slightly less stellar than I'd imagined is the battery power, and honestly, it's pretty impressive. However, the nice bright backlight in the reader apps (which is adjustable, of course) does drain the battery faster than I'd expected... more like watching TV. If I settle in for a read-a-thon, I notice my battery getting to the halfway point around hour 6, or so. But it does come with a nice long cord, and it's simple to read/watch tablet while charging. Overall, I'm absolutely tickled by my new 'forever' book, and it's officially my fave tech toy, ever. Oh, and if you're a klutz like me, make sure to get a strong, impact resistant case for your tablet. Wireless keyboard is also a snazzy add-on, as it turns the tablet into a mini laptop, which is ever so cool. But for me, the nice rubbery/neoprene shockproof case is the way to go, because this tablet is incredibly thin and light. I found myself concerned I was going to drop it. Just food for thought, as I had two weeks worried I would damage my lovely new tablet before my case arrived.Read full review

Recommend a hybrid case. I can binge watch Netflix, let my kids play their learning apps, and still have battery for my husband to read his digital newspapers. Easy to use and no problems. I'm going to buy two more as holiday gifts so we don't have to share. :)
