Dark Side of The Moon (On The Run and Time) and other tracks sounds detailed, crisp and loud. Lower bass is lacking but the heartbeat sound effects on "Time" were felt easily. The tweeters are bright and clean with good detail. For low end desktop speakers these sound great. I have them 3 feet apart, slightly angled to me at two feet away. Stereo separation is great and in music panning shows no obvious dead spot in the center at a 3 foot distance between speakers. The LED power indicator around the volume knob is pleasingly muted and not overly bright. As I am writing this review I am listening to music, trying to confuse the speakers but I can not distort them at normal volumes. All vocals and instruments are separate and audible. These ARE a great value.

If I was looking for computer speakers I guess these would be the ones I'd buy. The problem is, I didn't understand what multi media speakers were. I've got a pretty high powered sound system that consists of 8 high end tower speakers and quite a few high end book shelf speakers. Actually this the first of 2 systems. I thought these speakers could fill a spot somewhere but they look like they are made to be computer speakers. I can't use them. My boo boo. One problem with them is that the grills on both speakers are buckled and bent in the same place. It's pretty bad. The grills should be flush with the speaker face but where they buckle they stick out a quarter inch. I'm not too happy about that.

These speakers are great. I use them in my office at work, and honestly, they are almost too powerful. These speakers get LOUD. Sound is clear and crisp, and produce surprisingly full bass with the passive wOOx radiators. These speakers also look great. The aesthetic is high-end with the aluminum front plate, exposed drivers and lighted volume knob. I wish that the enclosures were wood & not plastic but the plastic isn't thin or cheap, which helps. Did I mention these speakers can get LOUD? Even at max volume you will be hard pressed to hear any distortion coming from these. Another high quality product from Philips.

Never would have though that Philips had access to quality sound. Wish they would have kept with the WooX technology in these years; because I would love to find a surround system with this sound. Had to drop my Klipsch THX System because of the power watts. Needed something that would only use 20 watts. Really good sound, and do not believe now the criticizers.

The title says it all. It looks just as good as it sounds. Beautiful aluminum finish and led light on volume knob. These speakers are as good if not better than some $60 speakers. Highly recommend for entertainment and daily use.
