This product is not user-friendly in any way, but I acknowledge that a lot of my problems are probably because of my computer. First of all, I had to take the software to a technician who could install it for me because I couldn't make it work. There was a cost involved, of course. So far, I have been able to scan just one page of a 300-page manuscript that I wanted to convert to Word for editing. I don't know what the problem is and maybe the answer is somewhere in the software's guide, but I'm not good at technology and the software doesn't really help. I would probably give the product a better rating -- and I'm sure it works well for other users -- if it had been easier for me to handle. I know you don't have a return policy, and that makes sense because of the nature of the product, but I'll keep trying to make it work because I have no other choice. Read full review

ReadIRIS 17 is an easy, reliable, and accurate OCR scanning and conversion program. I have used all sorts of OCR programs since 1990 to run a law office with no secretary - and this is by far the best, quickest, and most accurate OCR application I have ever used. I do not understand why others say it is difficult to use. Of course, it helps to read the user guide and actually learn how it works ... Nevertheless, it is super easy to use from the beginning, intuitive and sensibly laid out, and it is one of the least expensive programs of its kind, making it a real bargain. JR

Does the job fine. Exactly what I wanted to scan in a large number of old journals. OCR has so far been faultless as well. I do come across the occasional strange mode it gets itself into though - but not enough to detract from what I'm doing.

I was disappointed with the OCR. It is the same software that came with my HP printer. I tried to use it to scan my tests for my class to edit them and the question numbers and question numbers are strange looking and the text comes out incomplete. I wasted my money

Easy and fast install. Virus and malware protection did not interfere withproduct. Works perfetly with my scanner and converts documents accurately, better than the naitive scanning in Windows 10 and in another program I tried. I am happy and totaly satisfied.
