It's a black hard surface case. Aesthetically it is not flashy. Functionally, the button covers are easily found by touch, but are too firm at the outset of ownership. The general feel is one of durability, and substance, not cheap or plasticky, that said is lacks a tactile gripiness, and is a bit too slick for my taste. Overall it's a great case for the price. Just dont expect too much, and you will be pleased. I am.
