This is an incredible computer. Great quality. I love the newer gen macbooks with their intel chipset because if you plan on running Windows on there, it runs the operating system amazing with great driver support. The macbook I have has 16Gb of memory at a speed of 1866 MHz; which is more than enough to handle any task I throw at it. It's a Dual core i7 processor with a speed of 3.1 Ghz. The hard drive it comes with is a SSD 512Gb which is great. I decided to upgrade mine to a 500Gb WD Black NVME drive (WDS500G2X0C). This drive uses the M.2 2280 form factor; which isn't compatible with the macbook pro normally, however after some research I found there to be a compatible adapter that allows you to use this drive in a MBP without any performance loss. For anyone interested in the adapter, here is what I have: "NGFF M.2 PCIe SSD Card as 2013 2014 2015 MacBook SSD" You can read more about the SSD and performance of it using the adapter on macrumors forums Overall, the macbook pro is a great platform. Very durable unibody and solid engineering. The small features such as the backlit keyboard and the magnetic power connection are only a sample of the great features that come with macs. Once you own an apple computer the upgrades to the newest operating system are free. You don't have to worry about your computer being loaded with a bunch of bloatware when you purchase an apple computer and these computers are built to last. This is my 2nd macbook pro. My older model (mid 2012) I have had for over 6 years now and it still performs as well if not better than many competing laptops on the market today. Read full review

Received the laptop and on first day it started locking up, could not reboot or wipe. Had to call Apple care they couldn’t help. Took it to a technician twice they couldn’t fix it. Now it’s at Apple tech warehouse being trouble shooter. Yes it has apple care, lucky I purchased one that had it. The record shows that this laptop had the same issue prior to me purchasing it. Huge waste of my time and running around to get this fixed. Two stars.

This item arrived in a timely fashion and was in good condition with only a few scratches and very very minor delamination on the screen (hardly noticeable even when the screen is off and definitely not while it's on). The system is very snappy and the battery life is great for a used 7 year old item. I'd estimate I'm getting about 5 to 6 hrs use on a single charge when doing regular tasks. I'm a first time Apple user and so far I'm very impressed with the durability and premium feel of the item. If I didn't already know it there's no way I could tell this was a 7 year old unit. There's no way you can go wrong with this purchase.

Older device, but still performs as if it were brand new. Extremely satisfied with my purchase, great value for someone who is looking for a MacBook Pro but doesn't want to pay the price of a new MacBook Pro. Its got a SSD which makes it much quicker than if it were to have a hard drive. Long lasting battery, charges quickly too.

If you’re in the market for a mbp look for a 2015. This was before the stupid Touch Bar and endless issues the later models have. But you still get that beautiful Retina display! You can get a fully specced 2015 for a fraction of the price of a comparably specced newer model. 3.1 GHz i7, SSD, and 16GB of RAM will run you at most 1500 compared to 3500+ new. Only real tradeoff you make is the the 2015 max at 4 cpu cores. But for most people that is more than enough - especially at the speed they provide.
