Used this with an AMD FX 8320e back in 2014, and still use it currently on the side for a crypto mining setup. You can use any 8000 series 8 core AMD FX processor (does not support 9000 series). I recommend cooling the MOSFETs with heatsinks, use a good CPU cooler that blows air directly onto the motherboard itself (similar to stock cooler but larger to get air over the Northbridge and VRMs). 8310/8320e/8370e (low wattage) FX processor have an overclock frequency & voltage limit. Only allowing speeds of 4.0ghz stable at 1.25ish max volts on my 8320e. 8370e can likely do 4.3ghz stable at similar over-voltage protection on. Non-e model processors (8320,8350,8370) should be able to overclock to their theoretical maximums at a higher voltage cutoff limit. You WILL need good cooling and thermal connections, expect to hit around 4.5ghz maximum on the weaker 7-2 phase power design with these non-e chips. Scale down accordingly with weaker chips like the FX6000 series + other supported models. For the ram get low timing decent quality chips and run them at the max 1866mhz. The Northbridge I left at AUTO voltage and both default - 2200MHZ cpu-nb / 2600mhz ht link - speeds. If on a budget or have spare 5-6 year old PC parts laying around, you can build a pretty legit setup with this. Combine with an entry level new graphics card and you’ll have more power than the Xbox One S (2017 model*) and PS4 Pro (2017). Good for work station as well. USB3 ports for Wifi portability.
