No issues at all with this extender pair. Plug up, connect cables push one button each. Paired and provide much faster internet than my WiFi extender. On same side of power as the router, I've got connected near breaker box which probably helps. No dropping, almost same speed as my computer hooked directly into router.

The product implies up to 600MBPS service. I have a Gigabit link on my Cable modem. This is connected about 300 feet away, in a house that is 40 years old, but the wiring has been kept up well. And I am getting 1000MBPS+ at my modem, but only 1.5 to 2MBPS speed through the D-Link device. And I followed all the directions, and no power strips, etc. Sorry, but very slow speed on the D-link product.

This D-link adapter kit enabled me to extend my WiFI coverage around the home in an easy, affordable way using my existing WiFi AP/router and an additional range extender/AP. I was able to get 30 Mbits/sec which was enough since that was the max Internet bandwidth to my house.

A goodput is a measure of the actual data rate, for example, when you transfer a file over the network. It is different from the maximum possible physical data rate. So, I plugged everything in, connection established, the device "said" that the connection "is the best" (green color meant "the best" while amber and red meant "better" and "good"), and with a file transfer test I had 56 megabits per second. Honestly saying, I expected something higher than 56 mbps at a distance of ~50 meters. Unfortunetaly I have no tools to measure the powerline quality (i.e. spectral chanel transfer function in between of the outlets I am using), so I cannot make any statements whether the device is bad (who knows, maybe it does 200AV instead of 600AV inside) or something else, but, of course, the data rate is unacceptable. After it I finally decided to browse the Internet to see if someone else did a speed measurement, and I found a review where the author had 67megabits per second goodput that is not much better from what I have, so I am not the only one who has just ~60mbps. I am thinking about returning of this powerline adapter as it makes no sense to use.Read full review

All I had to do to set this up, was take it out of the box and plug it in! No complications and no confusion, just plug n play! In terms of performance, my download speed and upload speed were a little over doubled so I have no complaints about this product. It also came 3 days early which I was very happy about :)
