I used rechargeable batteries years ago and didn't like them - the ones today are far better than what they used to be. I bought this set of batteries as replacements for the ones I bought almost 10 years ago, which still work, but need purging as they are beginning to fail. I cannot imagine the cost of regular batteries over this period. When the batteries drain, you just plop them into a quick charger and within 1-2 hours you have a new set of batteries. I use them year-round in my unheated cabin as well as at home. Over the years, I have been replacing old batteries with energizer rechargeable. Love them. Note that there are several types of energizer rechargeable batteries - the 2300 mah and 800 mah are the best of the breed.

Last a long time on a charge & maintains a full charge. But there is competition in the NIMH batteries now and there are other brands that have similar performance and low self discharge ratings as Energizer brand. Brands such as IEGROW and Floureon. They are cheaper in price & have similar performance. Energizer brand though seems to last the longest time. I have some from the late 90's still going strong. Supposed to last only 5 year lifespan, baloney they last longer than 5 years as long as you don't abuse them and or exceed 1,000 recharges. Energizer Still worth the money and Who knows how long the other brands will last in years??? Time will tell......

Great brand batteries i have same type of batteries for almost 5 years now and still work like new. I have used for my camera EBL BATT and some other brands with good reviews but other batteries didn't take the recharge and had to discard but this one never had any issue and is a brand i can trust for my photography camera job.

The digital camera I use for all my eBay pictures uses AA batteries. I buy them in 4 pan/8 pan sets. My mouse and keyboard also use these AA batteries. I constantly rotate the batteries as I take many pictures for my listings and the mouse and keyboard are used approx 12 hours daily. ( except weekends ) I get a lot of hours use from these batteries and they have always been available when I get the final minutes use from them.

While it did take over 8 hours to charge 4 batteries for the first time, I was able to operate my scanning radio for a good 10 days (@1 hr each day) on same charge. I also recommend using the charger made and sold separately for these batteries. A Good AND WISE INVESTMENT!!
