This kit was well packaged and worked well to bleed the brakes without spending $$$ on the manufacturer OEM kit. Although the kit is pictured with a full sized torx T-10 screwdriver, my kit came with a small 'flag' style T-10 screwdriver which was sloppy in the screw. I ended up using my own T-10.

Overall, this bleed kit is complete and a good value, but the two fittings (at the end of each hypodermic hose) have poorly-made threads that should be chased before use, otherwise they cannot be threaded into your caliper & lever bleed ports "only finger tight" as directed. Better threads or better fittings would dramatically improve the kit. Because the kit includes enough DOT 5.1 fluid for several bleed operations, I have to give it a good review, but those threads are a negative...

Worked perfectly. However, I did have multiple bikes to work on, and left the syringes and hoses full of DOT fluid overnight....The hoses got very soft and fittings popped off when pressure was applied after that. I guess that’s my bad? Not sure if OEM would do the same?

This bleed kit worked great for my Avid XX brakes. I've heard lots of horror stories about maintaining these hydraulic brakes. I consider myself fairly proficient, but I'm not an expert mechanic. Despite some reservations about the process, I looked at some YouTube videos and decided to go for it myself. I purchased this particular kit because I already have a bleed block, but I needed syringes and DOT 5.1 fluid. The syringes worked great, no leakage. The clips were easy to use. The fittings attached easily to the bleed ports on the brakes. The process took about 15 minutes per brake. Brakes are working great afterwards.

I used to have the Avid branded kit, but sold with my old bike. I tried this kit for my new bike which has the Elixir brakes, and it works just as well as the name brand kit.
