I replaced some overaged cloth rim tape that had been patched with duct tape, yuck. I had to use acetone to removed the adhesive. Also, I needed a rim tape the would not only cover the valley where the spoke holes are located but would also run up the sides of the valley. The rims are Matrix, double wall and the edges of the spoke holes are very sharp. The one piece elastic style of the FSA tapes worked perfectly. Use the valve cut from and old tube to hold the tape in place, stretch it around the rim, check for proper alignment and you are done. FWIW, a 13mm cloth tape covers the valley in theory but making it cover all of the spoke holes is almost impossible. The width of the FSA tapes was a perfect solution.

This one small purchase saved me from having to replace the whole rim! The rim on my bike developed a bur near the weld after running over a Verizon mini man hole cover that was not seated properly (it stood about 2 inches proud. After a year and a half of replacing tubes every 2-4 hours of ride time I got and installed these... problem solved!
