    My go to chain

    This is the go to chain for both of my MTB rigs. Easy installation and sizing. The KMC missing link is easy to use, keep the old one for broken chain repair on the trail, although that has never happened. Smooth shifting on 2x and 3x setups, very good durability compared to other chains. The gold seems to stand up better to the elements too. This chain is a bit more expensive but ease of use and longevity make it worth the extra cost.

    Excellent Quality

    It is a high quality chain that will not stretch and lasts for a very long time, at least several thousand miles of road riding. It shifts very smoothly and requires no special tools to install.The master link, which is reusable, makes installation (when new or after cleaning) very simple. After using the chain, when dirt and grime collects, the link can be difficult to disassemble and separate. Master link pliers, like the Park Tool MLP-1.2, make it very simple to separate. You can also carefully compress and begin moving the link plates with short, quick, movements. This normally frees the link for removal. Overall, is a superior, lasting chain.

    Looks awesome!

    I have not gotten far enough on the build yet to put on or use but it looks great! Going on a 1987 Black Lightning. Looks well made, won’t know longevity until I get it on and put some mile on but it is also not the first KMC chain I have so I am confident in quality.

    Shift Friendly

    Was surprised this chain shifts better than my factory chain. It seems to grab the gears a bit faster and easier. Bought it for the gold color and the factory chain rusted. Replacement was easy because the master link is included. Had to remove 4 links to fit my application.

    Best bicycle chain

    Light,strong, resistant to stretching. To me is the best bicycle chain. I replace the chain on my bike every 500 miles in order to extend the life of rings and sprockets and always order KMC. I also want to mention that the shifting with this chain is always smooth.
