First, I must say that, I'm a serious predator hunter and have a couple other electronic calls, but none add up to the Primos Alpha Dog. The Alpha Dog is light weight and very portable, (stows in a backpack without taking up too much space), the remote is bright and easy to see without optical help due to my ailing eyes, is also very easy to use and understand, which has 5 Expert Hunt Set Calls, that do work. As a matter of fact, I used these calls today, even though I wasn't successful in harvesting a coyote, I had responses from several different packs at the same time during my hunt, they just out smarted me today, but the called did it's job. The volume of the speakers is outstanding, without distortion and easy to adjust in which ever direction you desire. Honestly, the only negative thing I have to say, is that the remote and the caller have their own power buttons, which means, when you place the call in your desired position, don't forget to turn it on, then when you return to your set-up position, you must turn on the remote, but it works perfectly. One last word of advise, the battery compartment on the call, was not very well thought out, where it takes 8 AA Batteries, in which case the compartment that the batteries fit into, is not very secure within the battery compartment space. I solved this problem, by simply putting some jumbo sized cotton balls in the excess space, which secures the batteries in place, not allowing them to flop around within the excess space, ultimately keeping the batteries from losing their connection. Another word of advice, regardless of which call you choose, use Alkaline Batteries, may be more expensive, but you won't regret it, because they last three times longer than the normal batteries, so they do pay off in the long run!!! First the good, loud and sounds are clear and a nice selection is loaded on the caller, camo and design are great. The things I don't like......Unless you load Primos sounds you may have issues and the booklet is no help so you must go online. All of mine say software level 1.5 and some things were never fixed and I suspect that it is a end of life product as they say no parts available? I and my family IT expert noted downloading non-Primos sounds can be difficult and if you have Windows 10 somethings to erase are in different listings and you must figure it out. Also if sounds are proprietary and you didn't notice they will look like they loaded but no sound. I say buy BUT know parts and sounds loading can be difficult.

Alpha Dogg is really compact in design and a couple seconds to set up. I have set up with the call 100 yards from my remote and the call response worked perfectly. Large, easy to use buttons on the remote, even with gloves, also a big plus for me. Capable of very soft calling to loud enough to knock the leaves off the trees. I would not hesitate to suggest to anyone in buying the Alpha Dogg.

This is a very compact and high quality item. The range for the remote is a great thing. When using the call I was a great distance from the call, in a heavy wooded area and it worded better than my TV remote. I was amazed at how loud and clear such a compact call can be, when you start one of the preprogrammed expert hunts it will make the hair on the back of your neck stick up. Wild! Very happy with this item.

Very easy to use. I highly recommend this unit. Unit has three speakers and you can arrange them to cover a large area, or make the sound in a straight line. You better be ready when you turn it on. You will love this as part of your Predator Calling Package.
