When I reviewed this product I was leery due to the number of negative reviews. Wanting more than 7 rounds from the OEM extended round magazine I took a chance. I had none of the problems reported by previous buyers. The rounds loaded easily, feed consistently, and no premature release of the rounds. The end of the magazine does protrude beyond the handle but not a problem for myself or my wife's smaller hand. The extension does make CC more difficult however storing the 10 round extension as a backup magazine to the extended 7 round OEM magazine allows for 17 rounds to be carried with little difficulty. I bought two of these magazines so range time could be extended before reloading. I am satisfied with my purchase and recommend this product.

I read the reviews, decided to roll the dice. Ran 50 rounds through the magazine. In all tests the last round would not chamber. It may hold 10 rounds ( the last round is pretty tough to get in) but it will only shoot 9 without ejecting the mag, reinsert, and racking the slide. I have not investigated further to see if an easy modification will correct the issue. Also, as a lot of reviews state it is cheap looking and does not look or feel like a quality part. Beware Update: After working with this magazine a little bit my opinion of it has improved from initially. The big thing to note is that this magazine needs to be broken in by reloading and unloading it multiple times, cycling through the pistol each time. I also recommend a magazine loader. If not the last few rounds can be tough and if they are not seated correctly will cause a failure to feed or failure to eject. I would work with this magazine significantly before trusting it in a life or death situation. After running it through paces 20 or more times I am able to feed and eject all rounds without hangups, misfeeds or failure to eject. Don't expect it to perform right out of the box. Read full review

I wanted to wait until I took it to the range before I reviewed this magazine. I went today and it was bad from the start. I loaded up the mag and had trouble getting the last round loaded. I finally did and tapped the bottom to ensure spring movement. I loaded the magazine in my gun and tried to chamber a round, but it wouldn't chamber with the slide spring. I ejected the magazine part way and was able to chamber the first round. I fired and the casing ejected. However, it failed to chamber a round. I did this several more times and went back to the sig mags. One time, I placed the mag in and a round ejected immediately out of the gun. My friend has the same one and claims that he doesn't have a problem. I wouldn't base my life on this mag, so I will only try it at the range until I figure out what is causing the failure. I wanted to like this mag and believe it was user error in the past reviews online, but there is a true flaw in the mag. It was good quality metal, but not as good as the sig mags. Sorry promag, back to the drawing board.Read full review

This is such a bad product it is truly dangerous. Every round jammed at the range. I had always heard that ProMag made decent stuff but there is no excuse for producing a product this bad. I have talked to and read posts from others that consistently had the exact same problem. Do not try to use this unsafe product

The plastic handle could be better. It feels cheap. It’d be nice if it matches the sig handle, but you can tell it’s a different manufacturer completely. Looks and feels cheap. The magazine minus the handle is fine. Works fine. Only issues I’ve had with it is with hollow point ammo, but that might be my guns fault. I have yet to find out.
