Must have to Calulate Headspace with Hornady Comparator tool
If you are a reloader looking for accuracy you need to calculate your headspace of your rifle based on caliber, casing, the bullets you are using. From there you can control the "jump" that is the sweet spot for your ammo and rifle. This modified case is need to use with the Hornady comparator measuring tool. It is easy to use in conjunction with Hornady headspace gauge, Hornady Ogive bullet gauge and a caliper. Must have a modified case for each caliber you are reloading.If you are a reloader looking for accuracy you need to calculate your headspace of your rifle based on caliber, casing, the bullets you are using. Top quality modified case
I ordered the Hornady modified case to use with my new 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. This modified case is top quality and works just as well as the others that I have. It screws onto the tool just as it should, chambers easily and the bullet moves in and out of the case freely. It's a good tool to have for developing accurate loads.

6.5 Creedmoor Lock n load case
Recently purchased a few different calibers to assist in getting an accurate length to the lands inside the chamber. Works great along with the Adjustable Rod that works with them. Makes it a simple process!! I’ll buy one for each Rifle caliber I own!

Fit & function
This is very nice to lock in how far the bullet is lengthened to reach the rifle lands. However when I checked the length of the cartridge from base to the shoulder it was different from what the Hornady ELDM match ammo is set to by at least .002. I am mentioning this because you need to match your brass shoulder bump to this gauge or you will be off by .002 and this could be the difference between touching the rifle lands or having the bullet set back from the lands. This is very nice to lock in how far the bullet is lengthened to reach the rifle lands.
