Moultrie's field modem is a somewhat pricey but effective and well designed way to monitor and control your newer Moultrie game cameras from your computer and/or your smart phone. As wildlife triggers your camera in the field, the modem connected to the camera transmits them to a website that you can access anytime or anywhere through your computer or from a great free app on your smart phone. I am currently using six modems on Moultrie game cameras to monitor deer, bears, wolves, turkeys, bobcats, foxes, trespassers, and everything else in the woods around my cabin in northern Minnesota, and will be doing same to monitor panthers in Florida. Location depends on the availability of an adequate cellular signal to transmit the photos. Connection requires signup to a monthly service plan for each modem/camera setup, with rates beginning at $9.99/month for about 750 photos. And settings on the camera--single/3 burst/3 triggered, timing of uploads, delays, etc--can all be changed remotely from your computer or smart phone. Besides monitoring wildlife, the security applications for this system are almost limitless.Read full review

The Moultrie Modem is a leap in technology for hunters. Moultrie had a done a great job in designing this setup. It's easy to setup, can be used on many different Moultrie cameras and is priced fair with its wireless service. Also no contracts required for service. Great product for hunters !!!

I downloaded software into a 2016 M999i, connected to the modem and put them on a tree. Verizon signal strength shows three bars on the modem and reads 46-72% on the MoultrieMobile app. Not great signal but it works fine. I have the small plan for $9.95/mo which is 38mb - about 750 pics. When I start to get too many pics of coon or squirrels, I change the reset time to 5 or 10 minutes between triggers to save data. When the varmints leave, I change it back to 1 minute... all from my phone. The modem will not send video but with my 999 set on, "Both," the pic is transmitted while the pic and video are recorded on the SD card. Quality is degraded when transmitted to save data. High Resolution is better but still not nearly as good as what is on the SD card. With the modem set to, "Immediate," I usually receive notification within 2-3 minutes. I've had mine for two months and it's working great. Love it!Read full review

Modem is very easy to activate on line one wire connection to camera I have over 500 pictures and batteries are still showing 93% on app. This is a sweet system for the average hunter or home security picture receive are a little grainy when sent to phone but on the SD card there crystal clear. I would highly recommend it

I Love this product. I don't have to go check on my cameras any more since I have the MOULTRIE MOBILE. It's a good tool to have if your into using trail cameras, so now I can view pics of the game instead of scaring the game away with my sense. Thanks for moultrie, they made it easy for me to build my trophy room
