A much needed addition to the Glock 42
I have big hands yet wanted the Glock 42 (380 ACP) as a carry pistol, I also needed to be able to shoot the thing. I put Pearce mag extensions on my Glock 27 (40 S&W) and love it, now I can not only hold the pistol more securely and comfortably, I can shoot and reacquire the target for faster follow-up shoots. The Plus One extension makes the Glock 42 very comfortable in the hand with a secure place to put the pinky and also with the added benefit of adding an extra round to the magazine. The product is very easy to install and is made of a quality material and matches the original shape of the pistol well. I expect years of service out of the extension with no problems. The Plus One also doesn't affect the function of the magazine spring and/or the reliability of the firearm. I ... Better grip, better control/accuracy
I installed these on my EDC Glock 42 .380, what a huge difference. The G42 is an easy shooter to begin with, but with the mag extension and the ability to get a full grip on a small pistol it just gives you greater control and accuracy, makes the grip feel closer to a full size pistol. Plus the +1 gives you that extra round in the magazine. Easy to install with no modifications needed. Great for full hand on pistol not so great for extra round.
I love the fact that my little finger is no longer hanging and not on the handle. That was my main purpose in purchasing the mag extention. The secondary purpose of being able to have an extra round in the mag isn't working out so great. I find if I load with 6 rounds I have no feed issues no matter what ammo I use. But if I load with 7 rounds I have FTF issues on the 2nd round about 25-30% of the time, granted I have only tried a few types of ammo so far and a few hundred rounds. I find the results are slightly better at the range than hand racking, but that can be due to an inconsistent rack. I also found I had fewer FTF than my wife. I attribute that to she is a new shooter and may have been limp wrist shooting. I was unable to observe her super closely as I was loading. I have ... I have tried with both the original feed plate and spring and an aftermarket feed plate and spring kit. The aftermarket kit is set to add 1 extra round in the mag also. I believe that I get slightly better results with FTF with the aftermarket kit when loading the extra round but I never have any issues if I only load 6 in either setup or 7 with the aftermarket spring kit alone with out the mag extension. Please note that both the mag extension and the aftermarket kit add 1 extra round each, but when both are used together I still am only able to get 7 rounds in the mag not 8. Also I have 2 mags that I am setting up identically in these trials with no difference which mag I use. Being that I like the feel of pistol with the mag extension over without it and I like the original feed plate over the aftermarket kit, I am planning on only loading with 6 rounds for carry and keep testing at the range with different ammo.

Can't go wrong with these! Get one for every mag.
High quality, matches finish of gun, easy installation, works flawlessly, provides on extra round of capacity, no appreciable effect on concealment, allows me to grip with pinky as well as other three fingers, and inexpensive. Overall, no downside to these, some things in life don't have trade-offs associated with them. Glock should put these on stock mags IMO. Great item, highly recommended!

One extra round my save your life
I have these on all my Glock Magazines. Very easy to install if you have a vise. Just hold in the vise with medium pressure where the magazine cap can slide down. Depress the button on the bottom with the punch inserted in the hole, press down. The cap should move enough that the pin will not go back into the locking hole. Then use a wood dowel and tap the rest of the way off. Then its very simple to install the +1 extension.I have these on all my Glock Magazines. Very easy to install if you have a vise.
