Really neat synthetic dagger with lots of details. Not sure if it's really a practical trainer though? Pros: Very detailed, could paint it and use as a theater prop. Returns to shape after flex. Good value. Okay for thrusting at moderately soft, non-living, targets. Might be usable for some disarm training. Cons: Too stiff for offensive thrusting at a person. Too soft for sparring. Contact with polypropylene or wood trainers will ruin this dagger. Final thoughts: Not really sure what sort of training this is used for. Too hard for unarmored opponents, too soft for armed sparring. Maybe just use it for movement drills and some very specific disarming. Note that the hilt flexes a lot but the blade is very stiff.

Very good, beginners training product. Flexible enough for safe handling during practice. The products of Cold Steel will never be able to match through quality of a Black Fencer or Purple Heart but they are amazing for the price. The pros of this product are certainly its price. If used primarily for beginner's drills with a partner it also performs well and safe enough. The cons would be its weight and flexibility. The flex is good for safe training but lacks the rigidity for direct blows, especially against heavier training tools. Pairs well with other Cold Steel trainers and a good starting tool for HEMA dagger training
