Mag fits and works well in the pt22. Came in an orange package and also has a larger butt plate than the original. Soaked it in oil overnight dried it the next morning and have had no issues with good ammo. CCI failed to feed & fail to fire even after the double tap, winchester white box hit and miss, Remington Thunderbolt green box were best no issues at all. (over 40 rounds of each) , this mag works. These pix will show the difference. I prefer the smaller foot but this new one follows the contours of the bottom of the gun

if you need an extra mag for an older pt-22 with the alloy frame you need to purchase a Taurus model magazine # pt22b-m...order #5-11221...the Taurus order # 511221 which this mag only shows does not mean it will fit your firearm. I had to dismantle the order #511221 mag and using a belt sander w/fine grit paper to remove the excess plastic on top of the finger extinction to make the mag lock into the well. the plastic on this one is too high in profile and will not let the mag lock in place. putting this mag back together is a tedious job and could not be done if it wasn't for the screw that connects the steel lock plate to the plastic. if you have to modify this mag sand the plastic to where it is just above the metal locking plate loosen the screw. slide the extinction on just enough to be able to tighten the screw then slid the extinction all the way on. it requires a small slotted screwdriver. I bought this to replace the original that was causing FTF's, the follower has been updated which fixed the problem, but I had to do some tweeking on it to get it to snap into place, the plastic piece had to much meet on it and would not let the magazine latch catch, also the base plate wasn't quality controlled and just a slight amount of preasure would slip the floor plate off without even depressing the button inside, I also had to tweek that as well, I am very happy with what I have now, but it looks like they would at least try these out and make sure they work properly before they sell them.

The magazine work as intended for the pistol, however they were purchased to be used in a pt22 poly they are compatible and cycle and are functional, yet you have to really tap the magazine in order to get it to lock in I would recommend this magazine compatible and price point is average this will work in a pt22 poly, maybe its would work in its original gun but ,good purchase.

The magazines were identical. Both magazine release holes were placed too low,by about 1/32 inch (<1mm). The pistol's mag catch could not engage and retain the magazines. Instead of going through delays and expense involved with returns and exchanges or refunds, I used a tiny grinder and made the repairs. Unless a customer has the tools, patience, and skills to do that repair there is a great danger of rendering such mags utterly useless.
