Compact and handy
I have used this saw twice since I received it and it works great, I will really put it to the test when hunting season gets closer reaching those high limbs. I'm a little concerned about the attachment being made out of plastic, but hopefully it will hold up for several years. It is compact so it doesn't take up much room. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it hasn't been used and abused yet to see if it will last.

Good value but not hardy
This is my 2nd Hooyman extension saw which I use for trimming shooting lanes on bow hunting stands. 1st one had a better/stiffer blade but it fell apart after 2 years of use. The adhesive holding the bottom cap basically disintegrated and and the telescoping portions fell out the bottom. This new one has a thinner blade which bends under stress. The above complaints being said, this was still the best value compared to other extension saws and loppers which also have whimpy blades. Just don't expect this product to last for more than 2 years with moderate usage (1 or 2 days per month in the woods).

Oh my reviews are done under the title “The Rifleman”
Saw a friends and immediately recognized it for a superior product and extremely well-made. Ordered one for my son as an early Christmas gift that he opened just before the Minnesota deer season. While he hasn’t used it yet, he saw (no pun) the benefits of it and how well it was made. Both of us have used other Homemade commercial saws for the hunter. This is far superior In portability and quality than anything we have tried over a combined 96 years of deer hunting. It’s a bit spendy, but I’m reminded of the old saying, “the quality is remembered, long after the price is forgotten.” Should last a lifetime with proper care and sharpening.

Not what I thought
Used this saw for the first time and the blade is just to short! You have to make a million short strokes then the blade tip will catch and bend because it's so thin and flimsy. Pole feels good and works great.

The saw it self works great better than any pruning saw I had and the extension are is very sturdy and works well with the saw my only complaint is that the saw is hard to put on to the extension. But I think that this issue is just with the unit I received because I have another one and the saw slides on the extension very well.
