I bought this for my daughter's birthday gift. She did all the research and decided that this was the best camera for her. She absolutely loves it. It's such a nice fit in the hand. The viewfinder is a good size. She likes being able to take several shots fast, one right after the other. It shoots great video too. She has only had it for a few weeks and has mastered the basic functions, so it must be very user friendly too. I only paid $679 compared to many of these going for $900+. I got a great price for an awesome camera!
I really enjoy using this camera! I have other near-pro grade cameras (Canon 7D and 5D). While they produce better images with ultra fine detail, they are a pain to drag around. As they say, the best camera is the one you have with you. I can carry this anywhere. The images are amazing. There are a lot of light cameras out there, but the NX30 has a fully articulating AMOLED screen, and should you have an issue with that, it has an articulating EVF. Ii has multiple connection methods such as NFC and WiFi. These are very convenient when you are out and need to share pics with others. I also have an NX Galaxy, NX300, NX2000. The NX 30 is by far the best. FYI, the nx300 has the same sensor and processor as the NX30 for less money. The NX300 is also about 50% smaller than the NX30. I really haven't found any Cons with this unit, except maybe the limited number of lenses and the lenses high price tag. So if you have the money, the NX30 is perfect. If not, go for an NX300. You lose the EVF and a few other features, but its a mighty fine camera for stress free shooting. These cameras run the full gambit of your talent. It can be a point & shoot, all the way to full creative control in manual. For those with poor eyesight, like myself, the auto-focus and touch-screen to focus are perfect. In manual focus you have focus peaking to assist. I use High and use RED. (Focus peaking is a manual focus assist which outlines the fringe of what is in focus. You can chose the intensity of the outline and RED,GREEN, or WHITE, whatever works out best for the scene) I believe the NX30 is head and shoulders above the Galaxy NX which has the most confusing interface I've encountered in a camera. I had read several reviews stating the camera had issues, but the thought of that beautiful 4.8 inch screen was too much for me to resist. It is beautiful, but difficult to use.. Read full review

Without a doubt, the NX30 is the best of the NX series system. I've had 5 of them. First of all image quality is stellar (RAW files are the largest of the 20mp sensors in the series), view finder which also tilts, LCD screen that pivots out, light weight, good battery life, touch screen, in camera developing as well as wifi. Just an outstanding camera, quick, responsive as well as many advanced features. Nearly as good as the Sony A6000.

I previously owned one of these cameras and decided to buy a second one off of eBay. This camera has the quality, functionality and portability that a camera five times the amount provides. I would recommend this camera to a beginner to semi pro.
